On importance of Language mastering

During last weeks I participated in several "Data & AI" events. With very different scope and target audience. From hands-on developers up to C-level executives. Interesting enough, the main concern was always the same.

Ok, we got that "𝐴𝐼 𝑤𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑗𝑜𝑏. 𝑃𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝐴𝐼 𝑠𝑘𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑠 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙".

So which skills do I need to be able to secure a job for myself in the future?

Let's look at this today with "𝐀𝐈-𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬-𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐫" perspective.

Here is the thing: people developing AI-based product try to make it as easy to use as possible. So there is no need to learn any special tool. However, in the world, where user input is taken in the natural language form, mastering the language will become important differentiator. Being able to express your idea with all nuances will help you to get the outcome much better than any competitor. Being able to write in clean, concise and structured way with your own words will give you a voice in the ocean of GPT-generated messages.

So, if you want to contribute into your future this weekend, do yourself a favor: stop scrolling social networks and 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 instead. If you can't read anything, which does not contain "AI" in the title, let it be "AI Value Creators"

Maybe from a literary point of view it is not the best book, but it is definitely better than the creations of LLMs and it will ease your anxiety a little about where this is all heading 👵
